Ian: a short film about inclusion

“Ian” is a short, animated film based on the life and experiences of nine year old Ian from Argentina.

The film speaks to issues of children’s rights, the importance of play and peer relationships for children and young people – particularly those with disabilities or special educational needs, the power of belonging and connection, and the need for the autonomy and involvement of all children in creating rich and diverse communities.

Perhaps most importantly the film encourages the valuing of all individuals, giving equal access and opportunity to all and removing discrimination and other barriers to involvement.

But…this isn’t a review or critique of the film. The best thing to do is have a watch!
