News: edpsy community raises over £600 for Refugee Education UK

We’re delighted that our recent fundraising efforts have helped support REUK to continue work towards a world where all refugee and asylum-seeking children and young people can access and thrive in education

A fundraising special edition

We fundraised with the help of three wonderful educationalists and authors, and so our thanks must go to Paul Dix, Rob Webster and Rachel Tomlinson. They all wrote hopeful and inspiring pieces in order to support REUK:

The impact of your donations

We spoke to Refugee Education UK, to find out a bit about what this money can do:

£629 can provide resources and equipment for an entire series of education advice clinics and academic study clubs for young refugees

A huge thanks from all of us at REUK to everyone in the edpsy community who has supported our work over the last few months – the special editions have been wonderful and your collective generosity will make a real difference as we support refugee children and young people to get into, and thrive in, education.

Catherine Gladwell, CEO

Thank you! (and a bit more about REUK)

Once again, thank you to all those who donated to this wonderful organisation. We truly appreciate your support.

Of course, if you missed our fundraising campaign, it’s never too late to donate directly to REUK.

You can also find out much more about what they do on their webpages.
