SUMMARY:Working Systemically with Alternative Provisions - Special Interest Group #3
DESCRIPTION:#3 \nWe are pleased to have Natalie Walsh\, the Principal and SENDCo at SENDSCOPE joining us for this session. \nSENDSCOPE is an innovative alternative provision within South Liverpool\, which supports neuro-diverse young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). \nNatalie will be sharing some of her experiences working within an AP and will talk to how SENDSCOPE supports students with reintegration to mainstream settings or to transition to specialist provisions. \nThere will be time for a general discussion about how these experiences might apply to the systemic role of the EP and space for questions and answers. \nLooking forward to seeing you there! 🙂 \nGeneral group information\nLike many EPs\, my work has exposed me to the challenges of both working with APs in a ‘traditional’ sense (e.g.\, casework and individual assessment) and the organisational dynamics of these settings. \nI hoped that setting up a national working group\, or special interest group\, might enable us a space to share information\, practice-based evidence and experiences about working systemically in APs and support setting-level change. Additionally\, the group provides a space for reflection and peer supervision. \nThe group has a speaker or guest each session who might share their research and/or experiences of working in/with APs. There is then space to consider how this applies to working in APs\, including a discussion of the barriers and enablers of this type of work. \nI hope that the group will lead to research in this area and the potential for the development of a framework for EP practice in this area. \nThe group is open to Trainee EPs\, Assistant EPs\, EPs and other professionals who are interested in this area of work (e.g.\, school and AP staff). The group runs half-termly on a Monday evening at 5-6pm via Zoom. \nPlease contact Jessica for further information or to be added to the mailing list for the group.

SUMMARY:Summer Productivity Club (set of three sessions)
DESCRIPTION:Prioritise your CPD this year\nDo you find that\, at the start of the summer holidays\, you feel like you’re ready to conquer the world\, do loads of reading and CPD\, tidy all those scraps of paper and re-organise your computer files\, get on top of your reports and make all those resources you always dream of making…? Or maybe you’re just plain exhausted and ready to slow down a bit during the summer. And by the end of the summer (if you’re lucky) you’ve only just squared away your reports…? \nSound familiar? Then it’s time for a change: you can take steps to really make this summer count. Come join us at Summer Productivity Club! \nWe’ll explore productivity and prioritisation hacks and you can plan how to work ‘smarter’ to achieve what you want to this summer\, without actually working any ‘harder’. \n\nSummer Productivity Club will support you to:\nSet and achieve your goals for CPD and career development\nMake a comprehensive\, realistic and achievable summer to-do list\nGet more done with my ‘Productivity Top 10’\nIdentify your ‘time zappers’ (where does that time go!?)\nOvercome obstacles\n‘Biohack’ your energy levels to maximise productivity\nHarness the power of group coaching for accountability\, overcoming obstacles and celebrating achievements\n\nGroup places are strictly limited: first come\, first served. The group is split into three sessions (dates below). The main session is the initial 2hr workshop\, led by Dr Fi Coley\, followed by two optional group coaching sessions: you can come to either of both of these – totally up to you. (I appreciate that you might want a holiday\, which is also super important for recharging our batteries.) \nThe idea is that group accountability and support can boost our success in achieving our goals – plus I love hearing how people are getting on\, celebrating successes and breaking down barriers\, as well as giving that extra bit of ‘rocket fuel’ when needed. \nThe sessions\nInitial workshop (2hr) – Friday 29th July @ 9:30-11:30am\nGroup coaching session (1.5hr) – Friday 12th August  @ 12-1:30pm\nGroup coaching session (1.5hr) – Friday 26th August @ 12-1:30pm \nAll sessions attended can be logged as CPD hours (up to 5 hours in total). Flat rate fee of only £130 to access as many of the three online sessions as you like: opt in and out of the group coaching however suits you. \nContact details\nEnquires to: fi@theedpsychcoach.com\nwww.theedpsychcoach.com\ntwitter: @fiona_coley
