SUMMARY:EP Reach-Out webinar - The Applied Trauma Responsive Classroom Model (ATRCM) with Dr Jemma Carter
DESCRIPTION:During this webinar I will be introducing and discussing the ATRCM. This model was created with the intention to operationalise some of the theory of trauma-informed practice for schools and education settings. I will explore the creation of the model\, as well as consider the practical applications for practice. I hope that it will provide a way of considering trauma-informed practise which is easily accessible\, easy to apply and adaptable for different settings. \nJemma has already written two blogs about ATRCM for edpsy: \n\nCreating a Trauma Sensitive Classroom\nUsing the Applied Trauma Responsive Classroom Observation Schedule\n\nBook on to this webinar

SUMMARY:Learning DNA-V: The Acceptance & Commitment Therapy for youth model
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this creative and interactive workshop\, delivered by world renowned psychologist and trainer\, Dr Louise Hayes. \nThe workshop focuses on supporting young people aged 11 to 18 to grow and thrive\, through the popular and evidence-based DNA-V model (Hayes & Ciarrochi\, 2015\, 2021). \nDNA-V is a developmentally informed version of the Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) model. The model offers a whole person-in-context\, scientifically grounded approach that allows you to confidently use evidence-based processes to help young people face struggles and develop to their full potential. DNA-V is a robust human change model that combines biological theories of adaptation\, acceptance and commitment practices and positive psychology into an easily understood and applied model. It is the culmination of 20 years of work by experts in the field of youth development.

SUMMARY:EP research club and group coaching – April 2023
DESCRIPTION:EP research club aims to connect EPs who would like to engage in more research-based activity – of any kind: whether it’s reading\, writing\, planning projects\, analysing data and/or seeking to publish. We are an open and friendly group and we welcome anyone to join us – you can drop in any time. We currently meet online via Zoom. \nEach session has two parts: \n1. A group coaching session (facilitated by Dr Fi Coley)\, in which we set goals\, share successes (and frustrations!)\, and explore and overcome our barriers to doing research-related work. \n2. Protected time for our own individual research pursuits: reading\, writing and research-based activities. We turn our cameras off and work on our own individual tasks\, before checking in at the end to celebrate what we’ve done. \nEP Research Club is the ideal space for motivation\, inspiration and accountability towards your research-based goals. Come join us!
