SUMMARY:Reflective space: Projective tools
DESCRIPTION:Cost for four sessions. \nThe Projective Collective would like to invite EPs to our annual reflective spaces. \nThe space is open to EPs with an interest in developing their confidence and skills in using a variety of projective tools\, including drawing and storytelling techniques. There will be a particular focus on the dialogue and therapeutic aspects of the assessment\, and professional experience. Case material is shared making this a valuable opportunity to develop your practice. \nThis year we particularly welcome newly qualified EPs who have a limited but keen interest in this area. Recognising the wider interest\, the sessions are designed to increase the range of CPD in projective techniques available to the EP community. \nThe spaces will be held remotely and facilitated by Isabella Bernardo and Sarah Rand on the following dates: \nThursday 21st March 3:30-5pm\nThursday 18th April 3:30-5pm\nThursday 23rd May 3:30-5pm\nThursday 27th June 3:30-5pm \nThis will be a ‘closed group’ experience\, to ensure supportive and constructive case discussions\, hence we ask you to commit to all sessions. \nIf you would like to join\, please contact Isabella by email\, and further details including joining arrangements will be sent to you. \nIf you are not available to join the space but are interested in other possible CPD opportunities in this area\, do let us know.

DESCRIPTION:Cost plus VAT \nThe course will guide you through the layers of understanding the concept of executive functions\, how we assess these skills\, and bring it all together in a formulation that makes sense. \nThe Executive Functions CPD course is lead Dr Rebecca Ashton\, an experienced Educational Psychologist specialising in neuropsychology. She has a wealth of experience working with executive functioning issues in school casework and is excited to be sharing her knowledge and understanding in this area. \nThe Executive Functions: Connecting into Practice CPD course is in an eLearning format which can be taken at your own pace\, and used as a reference guide to come back to over time. It also includes a host of useful resources which can be utilised in your practice\, reflective activities to facilitate your learning\, and a space for the EP community to ask questions and share thoughts between us. \nWhat is included? \n• Training: The course is broken down into six core chapters to increase knowledge and skills across key areas relating to executive functions and our role as an Educational Psychologist. Each module encompasses a series of subchapters\, containing short animated videos\, links and resources\, which you can view at your own pace. \n• Content Packed: Defining what we mean by executive functions at different levels of specificity\, and understanding how those functions typically develop in children\, leads us on to how we can assess those skills in individual children. You won’t need to rush out and buy lots of expensive equipment – Dr Rebecca Ashton explains how you can gather data about executive functioning in a range of ways and bring it together in a coherent formulation. The course then goes on to get you thinking about how you talk about executive functions within consultations\, in order to come to a shared understanding about areas of strength and need.
