SUMMARY:'Multi-Aspect Model of Learning' (MAML) training course
DESCRIPTION:Cost covers all three sessions. \nThe “MAML™ Fundamentals for EP Practice” training course is a 3-session online training programme designed to introduce the MAML™ framework to your assessment practice. \nThe MAML™ is a framework to guide the assessment and formulation of children & young people’s learning\, to enable meaningful interventions to be created to support learning and development. It helps practitioners focus on all the important aspects of the complex process of learning\, in a theory driven and change-focused way. \nThe MAML™ framework is based on the Vygotskian assumption that children learn through adult support (Mediation) and access to appropriate activities (Tasks) to develop ‘tools of the mind’ (Learner skills). Thus\, assessment of learning must consider the interaction between each of these aspects. EPs interested in applying this thinking that underpins dynamic assessment practice\, to wider aspects of assessment practice\, would find this course of relevance. \nThe course consists of 3 half day online sessions on the following dates: \nFriday 5th September 2025 – 9:30-12:30\nFriday 19th September 2025 – 9:30-12:30\nFriday 17th October 2025 – 9:30-11:00 \nThe cost for the course is £150 per person\, which will include a copy of our training handbook (either a electronic or print copy).

SUMMARY:Playful reflections – How to make learning transferable in LEGO therapy
DESCRIPTION:A fascinating short course for psychologists interested in LEGO therapy. This webinar delves into how to integrate structured yet playful reflection techniques into brick clubs\, helping children retain\, generalize\, and apply their learning in different contexts. Drawing from the CollaboLearn project—which combines research with hands-on practice in social learning with autistic children—we will share practical tools to make reflection routines a natural and effective part of the learning process. \nJoin Play Included CIC to discover how intentional\, engaging\, and playful reflection practices can enhance children’s learning outcomes and make the social skills truly stick. \nTrainer: Rikke Steensgaard is a Danish clinical psychologist specializing in supporting the social and emotional development of neurodiverse individuals. As a co-founder of the CollaboLearn project\, she spent years developing and running Brick Clubs in Danish schools. In addition to her work with Brick Clubs\, she is a play facilitator and training supervisor\, helping to foster a playful mindset within school cultures.
