SUMMARY:Residency webinar 2. Psychology under capitalism (Ontology 2)
DESCRIPTION:A 10% discount when signing up to all 11 webinars\nBetween now and the 6th October (the date of the first webinar) you can benefit from a 10% discount when you sign up for all 11 webinars. \nRadical Psychology\, Real Change will be a monthly seminar series that attempts to address the problems outlined above by reviving the legacy of our radical forebears\, critiquing the false radicalism of current practice and presenting new ways of thinking in order to push for revolutionary new ways of thinking in the psychological professions\, so that as psychologists we can go out into the world and make real change. \nWe’ll look at how society works under capitalism\, how it allows us to act and prevents us from acting depending on where we lie in its hierarchies\, in order to think about how we might change society to improve the psychologies of those who live within it. \nThe seminar series will be accessible to all psychologists\, at all levels of their career from training through to management. Its analytical framework will be founded on a different set of key thinkers and ontological presuppositions than you will find on psychology doctoral courses and will fundamentally challenge many of the established norms set out within those institutions.

SUMMARY:A cup of PositiviTEA with Max and Fi
DESCRIPTION:Part 1: ‘Lunch and Learn’ with Max & Fi \n(About 15-20 min) \nMax and Fi will share various psychological models\, resources and ideas to help you feel positive\, purposeful and inspired in your EP career. We draw upon positive psychology\, with the aim of helping you feel motivated\, engaged and purposeful in your EP Career. \nPart 2: Time to connect \n(About 40-45 min) \nCome and find your ‘tribe’ and connect with like-minded EPs. We will organise breakout rooms for small group chats\, reflections and connection-building within the EP community. You might want to share some ideas with others\, find out what others are up to\, make connections and explore possible collaborations. Maybe you’re feeling isolated (easy in this role!) and just fancy some EP company and connection. We will offer some prompts for your chats and do our best to reduce any awkwardness and make it fun and friendly! \nCome with an open mind. Be brave. Be curious. See where the session takes you… \nBring your own lunch and a cup of PositiviTEA. If your cup is feeling a bit empty\, we hope we can fill it during the session* \n*This is a metaphor. No actual tea is included 😉 \nP.s. Sorry this session is not suitable for aspiring EPs . Please do look out for more appropriate events via Twitter.

SUMMARY:Residency webinar 3. Educational in the ruins of neoliberalism: an analysis of schools in the UK in the 2020s
\nWe’ll explore what neoliberalism is and look at the ways in which 40 years of neoliberalism has shaped education and health. We’ll focus specifically on the formation of the Multi-Academy Trust system and how this process was underpinned by neoliberal ideas such as ‘freedom of choice’ and competition’.
