Educational Psychologists’ “Race” and Culture Forum (EPRCF)

Aims, vision and purpose

The EPRCF is a special interest group, set up in March 2012. It was established following a series of London based forums amongst Educational Psychologists (EPs) from 3 EP services – the London Boroughs of Haringey, Enfield and Waltham Forest and has since evolved, with over 140 participants.

The EPRCF  provides an inclusive, independent, participatory forum and professional discussion group aimed at any Educational Psychologist (EP), Trainee EP or Assistant EP with a professional interest in issues around “race” and culture.

Aims:

  • To provide a reflective, safe and confidential space for EPs to critically discuss issues and develop professional practice around “race” and culture.
  • To promote the development of Educational Psychology Services that are relevant and accessible to people from Black and Minority Ethnic Communities in U.K.
