About me

Current role: Senior Lead EP for Early Years

HCPC number: PYL34175

I currently have a role as senior lead educational psychologist (EP) for early years in a Local Authority in South Wales. My particular EP related interests include early child development, play, caregiving and attachment, wellbeing, social communication and interaction, systems/systemic thinking and inclusion. Most importantly, I am a mum to two amazing little girls aged 3 and 6.

I have also volunteered as a British Psychological Society Division of Educational and Child Psychology Committee Member for 8 years. Whilst having this privilege, my role was dynamic and multifaceted. Key aspects have included co-leading the development of several successful professional development events for EPs and trainee EPs. I have also led on/contributed to consultations, media requests and guidance that have had a particular focus on supporting young children.

Outside of work, in my spare/free time, I enjoy getting creative and “giving Psychology away” through creating content for my page @PsychEdMum on the socials. I generally love to be fuelled by cake and coffee . I then love to use my energy being creative and engaging in fun, playful and spontaneous activities with my family.
