EP Reach-Out Webinar – Beat the Traffic – targeting air quality to improve educational outcomes for children with Dr Aoibhe Kieran
- This event has passed.
Evidence indicates that traffic-related air pollution acts as a developmental neurotoxicant. In addition to well-documented negative impacts on child respiratory development, there is accumulating evidence of detrimental effects of air pollution on child cognitive development and emotional wellbeing.
This webinar will outline relevant research and identify constructive approaches to reducing this risk factor for children.
Aoibhe has also written a blog for edpsy.org which can be read here https://edpsy.org.uk/blog/2023/air-pollution-and-cognitive-development-in-children/
This webinar adds to a series of webinars that have been presented for EP Reach-Out on the topic of climate change – view the other webinars on the EP Reach-Out YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/EducationalPsychologyReachOut
