Mentoring Directory (pilot)
During the pilot, mentoring is for Trainee or Qualified EPs who identify as coming from an under-represented and/or marginalised group. We recognise that personal positions of power and privilege will vary between individuals and across times, environments and situations. We will never ask you to “prove” that you can be involved in this pilot.
Mentors will not be offering mentoring to aspiring EPs during the pilot.
Specialist Senior EP for Early Years
My particular EP related interests include early child development, play, caregiving and attachment, wellbeing, social communication and interaction, systems/systemic thinking and inclusion.
My interests as an EP include staff training, systemic work, therapeutic work and staff supervision/drop ins. I am passionate about communicating the full breadth of the EP role.
Educational Psychologist, Tutor on the EP training programme at the University of Birmingham
I am a British Indian woman and have worked as an EP for the last 20 years, working as an independent EP in the West Midlands for the last 12 years.
Specialist Senior EP and Professional tutor
As a practicing EP, my specialism relates to mental health and wellbeing. As a tutor, I enjoy working with TEPs in developing their professional practice and supporting them to complete their doctoral research.
I am a main grade EP working in Bristol. I qualified in 2020 from the Tavistock. I was born in Germany and would describe myself as white European. A big part of my work is currently focused on SpLD, working on the Serious Violence Crime pilot project.
I’m a maingrade EP working in South East London. I’m currently developing my specialism in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, with a particular focus on supporting LGBTQ+ young people in school.
Educational and Child Psychologist
I’m a newly qualified EP with particular interest in social justice, exclusions, community psychology and SEMH.
I am very interested in developing creative and innovative ways of being an EP. My work is mainly focused on promoting mental health and well-being of children, young people and the adults around them (including EPs)
Specialist Senior EP
I am a Specialist Senior EP and one of the ELSA leads as I have a keen interest in developing emotional literacy in children.
As a Caribbean woman I enjoy the cultural nuance that Birmingham has to offer. I love going to the gym, travelling the world and baking!
Educational Psychologist and Academic Tutor
I work as an Academic Tutor at Birmingham Uni and as an EP in London. I trained in Nottingham and did placements across the East Midlands, so I am interested in the way that EP services operate differently depending on location.
