Neurodiversity in Mind: Assessments and complexity webinar

May 12 - 17:30 to 19:30
Free

Join us for a free CPD webinar created exclusively for Educational Psychologists and Clinicians across the UK. Delivered by Dr Naomi Fisher, this session will explore how thinking around neurodiversity has evolved over the past two decades, and what this means for professionals carrying out assessments with children and young people in today’s educational landscape.

This interactive webinar offers Educational Psychologists the opportunity to reflect on the purpose and impact of neurodiversity assessments, consider the expectations of families and schools, and explore how best to support children in a system that is rapidly changing.

Agenda highlights include:

– Understanding the current context of neurodiversity and how perspectives have shifted over time.
– Exploring key presentations including rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD), demand avoidance (PDA), and burnout.
– The role of explanations and diagnoses in supporting children, families, and schools.
– Recognising complexity in presentation, including the risks of diagnostic overshadowing.
– How psychologists can respond to these challenges in assessment and practice.
– A 30-minute interactive Q&A

All attendees will receive:
