This online training event is aimed at improving the skills and knowledge of EPs when working with children who are bilingual/multilingual and/or speak English as an Additional Language (EAL).

We will:

  • discuss some of the theory and concepts in bilingualism
  • consider some of the advantages and disadvantages of being raised bilingual according to the literature
  • explore implications for educational psychologists, including working with bilingual and EAL children who have additional support needs
  • consider practical issues through the use of case studies.
