Working with bilingual and EAL children: a workshop for educational psychologists

This online training event is aimed at improving the skills and knowledge of EPs when working with children who are bilingual/multilingual and/or speak English as an Additional Language (EAL).
We will:
- discuss some of the theory and concepts in bilingualism
- consider some of the advantages and disadvantages of being raised bilingual according to the literature
- explore implications for educational psychologists, including working with bilingual and EAL children who have additional support needs
- consider practical issues through the use of case studies.
