EP Reach-Out webinar – How do girls diagnosed with autism in adolescence construct their self-concept and social identity? with Dr Becky Morgan

20/07/2023 - 16:00 to 16:30

Free

Dr Becky Morgan is an Educational Psychologist working in Powys (Mid Wales) with an interest in autism in girls. This webinar focusses on the main conclusions from her doctoral research into the way girls construct their self-concept and social identity – in the context of a diagnosis of autism in adolescence. She aims to explore:
• What sorts of discourses the girls drew upon in the way they sought to describe themselves
• Common constructions of self in the data
• Reflections and suggestions on how this can inform the work of EPs
