Children and young people: Applying psychology to make a difference

This interdivisional event focuses on children and young people through a selection of topics presented from the perspectives of clinical, educational, forensic, health, occupational and counselling psychology, as well as neuropsychology.

Speakers include Dr Simon Smith, Maura Kearney, Laura Middlesworth, Eilidh Corral, Steven Evans, Kate Reid, Emma Parry and Dr Liam Dorris. Presentations will cover:
•Gender identity development in children and young people
•Supporting mental health in our schools
•Sexually harmful behaviour in young people
•Scaling out of a UK adolescent peer-led smoking prevention intervention to address global health challenges
•Young people’s school to work transitions
•Neuropsychological insights into the learning and socio-emotional development of young people with neurological and neurodevelopmental difficulties
