Compassion-focused approaches for Educational Psychologist Practice

An introductory workshop for Educational Psychologists looking to incorporate compassion-focused approaches into their practice.

The training facilitators are Charlie Heriot-Maitland (a Clinical Psychologist & CFT expert) and Dr Jo Taylor (a Child & Educational Psychologist completing a Churchill Fellowship into compassion and caring roles)

We will cover:

  • An introduction to Compassion Focussed Therapy and Compassion Focused Approaches.
  • Mapping compassionate attributes onto the EP role.
  • Practical activities using two models to support with the understanding and unpicking of emotions in EP work (3 circles, multiple selves).
  • Use compassionate qualities as a planning tool, to create next steps for your work as an EP.
