Educational Neuroscience: Key Directions for Educational Psychologists
(Critical Enquiry)
Educational Neuroscience is fast becoming a prominent body of knowledge informing educational practice. Educational Psychologists are implicated strongly in the research literature as potentially ‘bridging the gap’ between neuroscience and education. How can we apply neuroscientific knowledge meaningfully and practically in our everyday work, and enhance outcomes for children and young people? The course aims to empower EPs to mobilize their knowledge and expertise in applying emerging neuroscientific research in their day-to-day practice, for neurotypical and neurodiverse populations, mapping them onto their current psychological frameworks, and being critically reflective in the process.
