EP Reach-Out webinar – How are young people engaging with concerns around climate change? with Dr Rob Lee
22/06/2023 - 16:00 to 16:30
FreeAn ever increasing amount of research indicates that some young people are significantly concerned about climate change. However, this may look quite different for different young people. This webinar will draw upon my thesis research, in which I used Q methodological analysis to explore three different patterns of engagement that young people may adopt towards their climate concerns. I will also introduce some helpful concepts from the field of climate psychology that may help illuminate some aspects of these patterns. Finally, I will provide some suggestions for how schools and educational psychologists can help support young people who experience significant concern, through the adoption of a whole-school approach.
