FASD – Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder management strategies 2025
03/04/2025 - 09:30 to 15:00
£100FASD is a complex neuro-disability and this second course builds on the themes from the Intro course. It considers the impact on the new NICE quality standard on FASD and the role of different professionals. It explores how sensory processing issues may affect the person’s presentation. It looks at how to reframe behaviours and different strategies that can help when working or caring for with someone with FASD in different settings. All people with FASD are different and options for post-18 will be considered.
The course contains a combination of slides, videos, interactive exercises and case studies.
Participants should think of any people they are working with that have or are at risk of having FASD as this would be useful for discussion and reflection.
