School ‘refusal’ is an acknowledged term for many persistent absentees, but it implies wilful choice and puts the problem on the child. This is a global problem with no quick fixes. How can we provide appropriate interventions if we don’t have a full understanding of the underlying causes of these absences and is our education system actually making the problem worse? This webinar will explore these ideas.
