‘Multi-Aspect Model of Learning’ (MAML) training course
- This event has passed.
Cost covers all three sessions.
The “MAML™ Fundamentals for EP Practice” training course is a 3-session online training programme designed to introduce the MAML™ framework to your assessment practice.
The MAML™ is a framework to guide the assessment and formulation of children & young people’s learning, to enable meaningful interventions to be created to support learning and development. It helps practitioners focus on all the important aspects of the complex process of learning, in a theory driven and change-focused way.
The MAML™ framework is based on the Vygotskian assumption that children learn through adult support (Mediation) and access to appropriate activities (Tasks) to develop ‘tools of the mind’ (Learner skills). Thus, assessment of learning must consider the interaction between each of these aspects. EPs interested in applying this thinking that underpins dynamic assessment practice, to wider aspects of assessment practice, would find this course of relevance.
The course consists of 3 half day online sessions on the following dates:
Friday 5th September 2025 – 9:30-12:30
Friday 19th September 2025 – 9:30-12:30
Friday 17th October 2025 – 9:30-11:00
The cost for the course is £150 per person, which will include a copy of our training handbook (either a electronic or print copy).
