About the role
Established in 2011, Catalyst Psychology has grown into a highly regarded, fully traded service operating in the City of Manchester. Demand for our services exceeds supply and we have a waiting list of schools wishing to commission our team. We have a commitment to training the next generation of educational psychologists and have strong links with University training courses. This extends to an active research strand in our work.
You will join our organisation at an exciting time in our development as we consolidate our developmental work in key areas, in particular trauma informed practice, specialist support for Early Years and our nationally-recognised work with refugees and asylum seekers.
Our newly created Deputy Principal role is an important aspect of our development, strengthening our management structure to make an organisation fit for the future. This role will suit an experienced practitioner who is looking for an opportunity to:
- bring their enthusiasm for educational psychology to support our children, schools and families in Manchester;
- use their professional expertise in a context that values the application of psychology, to contribute to the ongoing development of our highly valued team;
- apply and further develop their management skills in a unique, highly regarded Social Enterprise;

Catalyst Psychology is a Social Enterprise established in 2011. Ethnically and socially diverse, and with a growing population, Manchester is a vibrant and exciting city to work in. Our office base is in Didsbury, set in a beautiful small park with mature gardens maintained by volunteers.
Applicants must be professionally qualified educational psychologists registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
