Do you find yourself getting frustrated because somebody you love, care about or work with who won’t stop doing something which makes you worry for them; such as drug-taking, smoking or overworking? The session offers the chance to learn some of the key skills of motivational interviewing, including asking open questions, giving positive feedback, and listening and reflecting. Research has shown that using this approach can help people feel more confident and positive about making changes in their own life. The session may be helpful to both professionals and members of the public, and is designed to be interactive and fun.
