Children’s right to play in schools
- This event has passed.
There is growing interest amongst educational psychologists in promoting children’s right to play in schools. The British Psychological Society’s Division of Educational and Child Psychology position statement, published in summer 2019, asked its members to promote children’s right to play within their work with schools and teachers.
The impetus for this statement came from research undertaken by trainee educational psychologists completing a three-year doctoral programme at the University of Manchester. The programme continues to support right to play research.
Play Wales is hosting this seminar to showcase some of this research, considering implications for practice.
