– Develop your skills for talking about suffering and distress.
– Broaden your options for helping people understand the flow of compassion in their context.
– Practice using tools & approaches with other EPs.
– Have time to apply learning in between training sessions and share progress with the group.

Links to the Experts at Hand (EAH) role:

Day 1:
– Understanding the EP role through the lens of compassion (supporting EPs to navigate the
uncertainty of the EAH changes and providing models and tools for unpicking difficulties in planning meetings and when commissioning traded work).
– Introducing tools for EPs to use in consultation (developing capacity to work in a systemic way, in accordance with DfE guidance around EAH).

Day 2:
– Tools and approaches to refresh the EPS’ capacity for providing reflective spaces to schools (as EAH emphasizes systemic approaches and the importance of inclusion in mainstream, reflective
spaces become even more important in schools).
– Models and practise for the EPS to use in its own supervision processes (Cultivate the ongoing professional development of EPs to help them evolve with the EAH model).

Day 3
– Approaches for sustaining compassionate working over time (protecting EP capacity to continue meeting the EAH demands, over time and facilitating continued high quality practise, in fast paced, high stakes environments).
