Introduction to SEMH

02/11/2022 - 15:30 to 17:30

£95

This training is designed for anyone working with children, young people and/or their parents or carers. It aims to provide an understanding of what a child or young person’s behaviour may be communicating and ways to reduce this anxiety, prevent and de-escalate behaviours which challenge us.

The course aims to link psychodynamic theory with practice and is informed by our experience at The Mulberry Bush of working therapeutically with children who have experienced trauma and the emotional impact this can have on the staff working alongside them. There will be three taught sessions on the following topics:

– Making sense of behaviour
– Attachment informed practice
– Brain development & trauma

This online course takes place across three sessions which run between 3:30pm – 5:30pm on:

1) Wednesday Nov 2nd, 2022

2) Wednesday Jan 18th, 2023

3) Wednesday May 10th, 2023
