Young People & PDA: Insider knowledge, support, & EP assessments

08/12/2022 - 13:30 to 16:30

£80

This workshop is an exciting opportunity for EPs and TEPs to develop their understanding and skills in supporting young people with a PDA profile, from the collaboration of 3 specialist speakers in this area. We start with a unique insight into PDA from Harry Thompson (from Harry Thompson – PDA Extraordinaire, published author, and Co-Founder of NEST), who shares his valuable lived experience of PDA and his time in education. Laura Kerbey (Co-Founder of NEST & Co-Founder of KITE Therapeutic Learning Services) shares strategies for supporting young people with PDA, from her upcoming book. Dr Joanne Riordan (Neurodiversity Specialist Educational Psychologist & Director of Dr Joanne Ltd.) shares from her experience how we can tailor educational psychology assessments to support young people with PDA.

This workshop is fully Neurodiversity affirming and all 3 speakers are neurodivergent.
