Image is word 'Projects'

This project aims to provide an insight into current knowledge and practices amongst Educational Psychologists (EPs), across the UK, in relation to eliciting the views of children and young people with Severe Learning Difficulties.

How can you help?

If you are a qualified, HCPC registered Educational Psychologist (EP) of any grade (e.g. Principal, Senior or Main grade) in the United Kingdom, complete this online survey which will take approximately 20 minutes of your time. You can leave the survey and return to complete your response within one week.

You may also wish to participate in an online focus group; however, this stage is optional. You can express your interest in the focus group stage at the end of the survey.

Project focus

  • Exploring current knowledge and practices amongst EPs in relation to eliciting the views of children and young people (CYP) with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
  • To conduct comparisons of knowledge and practices amongst EPs, to promote collaborative problem-solving, offer guidance for professionals and indicate areas for further research.

Researchers

  • What are the facilitators and barriers when eliciting the views of CYP with SLD?
  • What methods, tools and / or strategies are used by EPs to capture the views of CYP with SLD?
  • How does EP practice in this area vary across the United Kingdom (UK)?

Involvement

Online survey open to all qualified, HCPC registered EPs of any grade (e.g. Principal, Senior or Main grade) in the United Kingdom.

Optional focus group involvement; you can express your interest in the focus group stage at the end of the survey.

Deadline
